Been there done that – but it was a lovely trip, and the hotel was clean, great breakfast, beautiful pool, no complaints – centrally located – they have a fridge in the main lobby if you want to store food or beverages. Blackouts happen pretty regularly in the town, and I mean the whole city goes black – but not for long. Our friends went the week after we did – blackout!

We stayed for two nights; the place was super clean and had everything we needed. The staff was amicable and helpful with their cozumel snuba diving tips. The pool and excellent breakfast were great bonuses. I would recommend and hope to visit again soon myself.

We arrived here used to staying in hostels… this place was incredible for us as it had terrific hot showers excellent air con and super clean rooms. The guy that checked us in spoke excellent English. It’s a 10 min walk to town and 20 min walk to the public but of the Laguna.

Clean room. We were on the second level and just a short walk to the main square and the water. Friendly staff. Great pool that you can access up until 9:00 p.m. at night. A/C worked really well. They were doing some renovations when we were there; however, it did not disturb us at all.

Small hotel but excellent service and spotless rooms, we love the swimming pool which we used every afternoon during our stay, the manager/owner it’s a great person always doing his best to please you and help you as much as possible. My father, my daughter, and I stayed here for three nights in April 2015. We had an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was well-served and pleasant, and the staff was friendly – my daughter enjoyed the parrot. Hot-showers, coffee, and free wifi.

Excellence English speaking staff, easy email access before booking a stay at hotel hacienda Bacalar. Nice clean, affordable a/c rooms within a few blocks of restaurants, the fort and the 7 colored lakes. Their adding 5 more rooms for a total of 22 and a pool. Safe area with friendly people.
