We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is so central, and the room we stayed at was charming. Great value for money and a great base to explore the lagoon! Very friendly receptionist and staff too.

We were dubious because of the name, and it is a hostel, but we got a villa which was spacious and clean, had a large fridge and full kitchen. The bathroom was beneficial, not great water pressure, though. Its location is unbeatable, though not on the water, it’s a short walk to many docks. The reception staff was above and beyond accommodating and friendly with their cozumel taxi tour recommendations. They helped us print boarding passes, schedule a sailboat tour, find kayaks, and call taxis.

The air conditioning worked fine, and the suite called “defines” had a nice flow of air through it in the evenings. Plus the terrace and restaurant and friendly and have pleasant service and delicious food. This establishment definitely added to our trip and I would seriously consider booking here again with my whole family.

Huge suite with kitchen, bathroom, balcony and two bedrooms. Clean, neat, and tidy. Full air conditioning as well as fans. Helpful staff that knows the area and provide maps and guidance if required. Attached to a lovely cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as beautiful homemade cakes and drinks. A bit noisy early morning / early evening as the kitchen workspaces faced my room, but other than that, a lovely stay.

It’s a beautiful place, with friendly owners and a great location. The room and also shared bathroom were really clean. The breakfast is just coffee and bread, but there is a restaurant with amazing breakfasts near the hotel, so it is not a problem.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Pata de Perro for 2 nights on our trip through Mexico, and we can really recommend it. The friendly staff helped us with every question we had and gave us great advice on what to do in Bacalar. The private room with shared bathroom was cute, clean, and had a quiet (!) AC. Thanks for a great time!

When I arrived here, I was warmly welcomed by the host. She set me up with a lake tour and recommend many restaurants and places to swim since not all areas have public access. She is definitely fun to connect with! The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. It’s not on the beach, but it’s only steps away! The bedroom was clean and with AC. An excellent place for backpackers! I was able to leave my bag in a locked locker (after I checked out) as I explored the town.
